In addition to the analysis of precise technical questions that by themselves represent innovating aspects, like thermally modified wood development, the factor of most important innovation of the project provides by the putting in common, for the first time, of a great volume of information and knowledge that should contribute, in significant way, to promote and to develop the centre of excellence about common raw material in the Atlantic space.

For this reason, we can consider that the innovating aspects of the project reside in:

•  The Thematic: for the first time the thematic of the transformation of Pinus pinaster, which is the main forest production of the three regions, is considered in a common view.

•  The Partnership: including the main agents implied in the industry of transformation of the pine wood of the three regions.

•  The Management: being a project in which the actions depend on the contribution of all the partners, that without any doubt contributes a greater value, obtaining the integration of the points of view of the three regions in the set of predicted performances.
